Triple Talaq misunderstood: BJP Muslim leader

Triple Talaq misunderstood: BJP Muslim leader
VIJAYAWADA: BJP minority morcha national president, Abdul Rasheed Ansari observed that triple talaq is being misunderstood and the present usage of it by Muslims in the country is against the true spirit of Islam.
“When misunderstandings crop up among a couple husband can seek separation. It will take at least three months from first talaq utterance to separation.

After the first utterance one has to wait for next moon and then another moon before the second and third utterance. Meanwhile, both can go for reconciliation with religious heads and other elders. But nowadays it is not being followed which is against the true spirit of Islam,” Rashid said in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
Talking to reporters, Rashid explained that the BJP led NDA government has launched many innovative schemes to uplift minorities both socially and economically. He pointed that Muslim madrasas are being developed in a scientific manner by including subjects like science and mathematics so that the students will be industry-ready when they pass out of a madarsa.
He reiterated that there was a wrong perception that minorities are not with BJP. “Muslims played a crucial role with a good voting percentage for the BJP’s win in the polls held in the northern India though tickets were not given to them due to various reasons. Minorities are with BJP. In Tripura, both Muslims and Christians are looking for a change from the communists' misrule for a long time. They are looking at BJP. Similar thing happened in Assam,” added the BJP leader.
Rashid further said special schemes were designed by both union ministries of HRD and minority affairs to upgrade skills of the students for which bridge courses have been introduced.
